Words & Whispers

I hear the Lord say:

I understand and care about you. The trials of today are only for today. Continue hoping day by day, watching Me bring restoration and healing. New mercies every morning are there to bring you hope for that day – hope for new revelations, new insights, new growth. Hope for healing – it may be slow but slow is not bad. Rest – rest is good.  Let me be your cheerleader. I am the encourager, your Spirit-guide.  I offer calm and serenity in a troubled world.

Remember my Word: Peace I leave  you – not as the world gives, but my perfect peace. (John 14:27) Perfect peace – peace from above, peace that encompasses all, surrounds all, envelopes all, permeates all. Peace that soothes the troubled soul. Peace that pervades. Peace amidst the storms. Peace that reflects the utmost trust in your Father God. Peace that is contagious.  Peace that blots out all argument or human reason. Peace that sees My hand in all events. Peace that brings rest, contentment, and joy.  Peace that puts others first. Peace that is yours for the asking.

I have said these things to you, that in me you may have

peace. In the world you will have tribulation.

But take heart; I have overcome the world.

I hear the Lord say:

Dear one, my thoughts are toward you. My thoughts are of love and gentleness, of care and loving kindness. I walk with you in the garden. We don’t talk but just stroll, admiring the roses, inhaling their scents, and exclaiming over their beauty. The variety of colors is stunning. I made all of these! We walk along boxwood hedges, green towers that give home to birds and bugs. The sky is startlingly blue with white wispy clouds. The breeze is warm and gentle. The garden has many ‘rooms.’ We go to sit in the gazebo. A pond is nearby. We see koi fish swimming lazily about. Birds sing nearby. All is peaceful and calm. I delight in you and you delight in Me and My creation. “All this you make for me?” I ask. “Yes”, I reply, “All this… and more!” The beauty of the earth is for Me to share. My loving touch is evident in all creation. The earth’s majesty is a dim reflection of My Majesty. Breathe deeply. Soak in My beauty. Open your eyes to My Glory.

For as the earth brings forth its sprouts,

and as a garden causes what is sown in it to sprout up,

so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise

to sprout up before all the nations.

I hear the Lord say:

Trust in Me – for each and every moment. I make a way where you see no way. I bring insight to hiccups or glitches so you can resolve them easily. I delight in surprising you in little ways and big ways.  I delight in teaching you to see all events each day are planned encounters where you can bless others.  Nothing is too big for Me.  Like steering a heavy covered wagon, let me take the reins.  I’ll guide you through valleys, rain, wind, sun, meadows and rivers, steering clear of bandits and robbers.  My wagon train is loaded with provisions – everything you need  – as you embark on a new journey. At night, you’ll see the bountiful stars I have placed in the cosmos.  I know all their names. It will remind you of My power and of the depth of My love.  Love, shining brightly, twinkles in the night sky, radiating with the moon’s glow on the landscape below. As you sleep each night, lay your head down with thoughts of quiet repose, trusting in My care through the night. Meditate on My love for you. Recall My promises – those already fulfilled and those yet to be.  My words are ‘yes’ and ‘amen.’

For all the promises of God find their Yes
in him. That is why it is through Him
that we utter our Amen to God for his glory.

I hear the Lord say:

I’m not finished with you yet and I don’t judge or condemn you. Learn from our time together. Abiding in Me is not hard. Each morning is a time to renew and refresh. Be confident in our relationship! I’m always here for you. I’ll never let you go. I desire to be your One and Only. As you love Me, you will find it easier to love others. Don’t be so critical of your every thought and word. I’m molding you into a woman after my own heart. I’ll point out areas where you let the flesh take over and gently guide you back to Me. You are my beloved. “Keep calm and carry on.. in Jesus!”

I hear the Lord say:

Take one day at a time. As you practice remaining in the flow, it will become easier and more frequent. Imagine Me standing beside you, walking with you, running errands with you, doing dishes with you, planning your day with you. I’ll lead you each day as you submit yourself to it. Your ‘take charge’ attitude of the past is now a “Let God” attitude. This will transform your expectations for each day. It will free you up to alter your plans to follow My plans.

If we live by the Spirit,

let us also keep in step with the Spirit.

I hear the Lord say:

Remember we are sailing! Let me supply the wind to your sails and keep you on course. Uncharted waters do not need to be feared. It just means that no one has been there yet! It means a new adventure awaits. It means surprises and delightful discoveries. It means possible rough waters but nothing I can’t handle. Set your eyes on Me. I’m the One to steer toward. By day or night, I will guide you. Trust in Me.

Commit your way to the Lord,

Trust also in Him, and He will do it.

I hear the Lord say:

 Let my spirit of peace calm your mind and body. Breathe deep of my holy presence. Worship me in the Holy of Holies. Bow before my Mercy Seat. Soak in the heavenly atmosphere. Bask in the light of my Truth. Fall prostrate before my throne. I AM who I AM.  All worldly desires and cares are stripped away.  Renew and refresh yourself at my well. Drink deeply of my living water. It brings healing to your bones. Arise and go forth, declaring my glory, praising with your lips and singing songs of praise and thanksgiving.

Let us then with confidence

draw near to the throne of grace,

that we may receive mercy

and find grace to help in time of need.
