Hello! Welcome to my blog! I have recorded past journal entries from devotional journaling as well as nature and travel photos. It is my aim to pass on the encouragement of the Lord to other sisters in Christ.

    • New Season

      I hear the Lord say:

      Summer days are cooling into autumn nights. The landscapes reflect the change in weather and fall plants are showing off. Your beautyberry bush is a prime example of a fall delight. I delight in displaying beauty in all seasons. Your love and admiration for the beauty of the natural world is just a fraction of the love and admiration I have for my daughters and sons. This purple beauty reminds you of royal robes, and your King and Savior, Jesus. Let the fruit of the beautyberry inspire you to continue to grow fruit in Kingdom Living. Both beauty and nourishment come from the indwelling of My holy Spirit. Spend time in this new season to reap new benefits and insights into abiding in My presence.

    • Focus

      I hear the Lord say:

      There are many things distracting you at the moment. This is common in today’s busy world. Some months are busier than others. Sometimes, unexpected issues come up and require extra attention. Be sure to maintain your daily devotional time and allow time for My calming presence to gently interrupt your day. Setting your morning focus on Me, reading Scriptures, and pondering the treasures of an Abiding Life, will do much to keep you on track throughout your day. Just as a camera needs to focus on the object for a clear picture, you need to focus on My Son, Jesus, and the abundant life He provides. As the waves gently lap the sandy shore, so My love, peace, mercy, and compassion cover you each day. Dig your toes in the sand and marvel at the beauty and goodness around you. Inhale and exhale; breath deeply of the magnificent, all-encompassing love I bestow.

      “Arise, shine, for your light has come,

      and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.

      See, darkness covers the earth

      and thick darkness is over the peoples,

      but the Lord rises upon you

      and his glory appears over you.

      Nations will come to your light,

      and kings to the brightness of your dawn.”

    • Access

      I hear the Lord say:

      As a daughter and child of the King, you have access to all of My provisions. Grace upon grace, the beauty and abundance of creation, favor and esteem, knowledge and wisdom along with My treasures of peace, joy, love and mercy. Each day you awake, you receive heavenly blessings. Your access is available because of the shed blood of My Son and your Savior, Jesus Christ. As a member of My beloved community, you have a mission to share My love and compassion to other believers. For those not in My community, you have a responsibility to share the good news of Kingdom Living. These keys belong to My Son, Jesus, who opens the door to all who knock. You enter in to My presence with reverence and everlasting joy.

      He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is the key to this treasure. Isaiah 33:6 (NIV)

    • Trusting

      I hear the Lord say:

      Life is fragile – handle with care. You have seen that life circumstances can change in an instant. Some changes are for the good; some changes are obstacles to be overcome, other changes are heart-breaking. Some prayers get answered quickly; others are delayed. The vital key to your contentment and happiness is a daily reminder that I am sovereign, I am constant, and I am overflowing with love and compassion. You can trust Me and My Word. I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. I am the One and Only. You can lean on Me through life’s ups and downs. I give you rest from the burdens you carry. Lay them down at My feet and be refreshed in My presence. In My presence, there is fullness of joy. You will rejoice and be glad!

      I will be glad and rejoice in you; I will sing the praises of your name, O Most High. Psalm 9:2 NIV

    • I ❤️U

      I hear the Lord say:

      Remember this and remind yourself of this daily: “I love you.” When things go right, when things go wrong, when life has unexpected twists and turns, when you wake up grumpy, when you stub your toe, remember that I walk beside you. I am there to help you rise above the current circumstances and think on the joy of your salvation. Recalling good days, fun times, moments of unexpected beauty and joy, answers to prayers: these thoughts will re-align you with Me. My abiding presence will grow in you as you turn your thoughts to Me and My Word. These promises will sustain you, strengthen you and encourage you. Each day, you can make steps to activate your mustard-seed faith and walk in My Truth.

       “Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:20 NIV

    • Anticipation

      I hear the Lord say:

      The smell of fresh bread from the oven is such an enticing aroma; you are eager to try the first warm slice, smothered in butter. Smell, sight, and taste are on full alert in anticipation. My Word is the Bread of Life and I desire that My children have the same eager anticipation for My goodness. As beloved children, I have good things in store for you. This does not mean a trial-free life, but a life full of My abundance as you trust Me each step of the way. As difficulties arise, as grief envelopes you, as tears fall, remember that I am the WAY, the TRUTH and the LIFE. You will find comfort for your soul. You will find peace in the storm. You will find solutions to problems that only I can solve. A listening ear, an attentive heart, and a willing spirit will keep you in good standing. I am ever-present with supernatural timing to encourage you with a word, a Scripture verse, a song or a thought. Anticipate good things.

      And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 NIV

    • Eyes on Eternity

      I hear the Lord say:

      It is human nature to get wrapped up in today and the current circumstances. There is always a ‘to do’ list and things to keep you busy. Remember also that today is your day to continue to walk with and grow closer to Me. I am at your side and want to give you My perspective and wisdom for each part of your day. With your eyes on eternity, you see that all of the “todays” accumulate to a closer intimacy with Me. Stop to listen and wait for My wisdom before mapping out your day. I may have a special assignment for you: an assignment that will bless you and bless others. Your trust in Me and My faithfulness will grow as you yield to My yoke. This will prepare you for an eternity with Me.

      Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Matthew 11:29 NIV
