Words from the Lord during prayer and devotional journaling

    I hear the Lord say:

Jesus, the Good Shepherd, the Passover Lamb, the King of Kings, the Prince of Peace. Fully human and fully divine. My beloved Son came to earth to seek and save the lost, to bind the wounds of the broken and the broken-hearted, to heal physically, spiritually and emotionally, to share the love of the Father with His children. “No greater love exists than a man lay his life down for another.” This is the degree in which I love you. This is the depth of My love for you. I would go to these lengths if you were the only person on the planet. I love you that much! Study the words of Jesus. Learn about His character, His love, His motivation, His sacrifice, His triumphant resurrection, His call to share the good news. Easter is a celebration of your Savior’s victory over sin and death. Resurrection Sunday is to be celebrated daily, as you walk in hope and joy, embracing My eternal love.

Praised be God, Father of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, who, in keeping with his great mercy, has caused us, through the resurrection of Yeshua the Messiah from the dead, to be born again to a living hope… I Peter 1:3 CJB

    I hear the Lord say:

Standing among the blooming trees in early spring, cherry blossom petals float gently through the air, transporting you to a world of awe and beauty. Forgetting the trials and tribulations of the world, you stand motionless in a shower of delicate petals. Ever so gently, ever so graciously, the ground nearby becomes covered in a blanket of Spring. This shower of blessings is for you, My daughter. I rain down spiritual blessings to you each day. You see how much I love you, care for you and protect you. You are covered in white, pure in spirit as you seek to abide in My Presence. Free from condemnation because Jesus died in your place, free from sin and guilt because of His blood sacrifice, free to be a ‘new creation.’

    I hear the Lord say:

Sailing brings to mind themes like freedom, wind, spirit, adventure, beauty. The wind in the sails propels you along as you guide the rudder. You feel both attentive and relaxed. The wind, water and salt spray lift your spirits. The cares of the day, the month, the year, melt away. If only these moments could be captured, saved and available to battle daily stressors. The good news is that I AM the wind in your sails, I AM the salty sea water, I AM the rudder to guide you today and tomorrow. Freedom from the clutter of today, you can experience the joy and freedom of sailing with Me. You can abide in My presence to be attentive and relaxed for each new task. Inhale My Breath of Life to sail with Me, embraced in My loving arms.

    I hear the Lord say:

After a cold winter, I know you love to see your spring bulbs awakening and trees starting to bud. It’s a reminder of the season of renewal and fresh beginnings. The warm air, the call of spring peepers, the blooming daffodils, forsythia, camellias and magnolias bring a color palette that delights and surprises. A new season outside can also mean a new season inside. You hear Me beckoning to grow closer and are eager to dive in. Let the spring flowers remind you of My everlasting love, My steadfast Spirit and abiding Presence. Let the colors of Spring wash over you and bathe you in morning light. Nature is stirring as is your soul. Keep your eyes and ears open to new words of revelation, new opportunities to be a blessing and new paths to explore.

“So much to do, so little time” you say. I see you fretting about your ‘to do’ list. Instead I beckon to you “come away” with Me. Join Me in peaceful surrender to the day. Stop to enjoy the sunshine, the snow, the quiet hush over the neighborhood. This is what serenity is. It is time with Me, absorbing My peace, My joy, My calm, My stillness, in the middle of your day. My refreshening is available 24/7; you only need to ask for it. It is a cool, crisp breeze, warming your heart and soul, filling your lungs with Spirit-breath. Your morning quiet time does not need to end. You can remain in My serene peace all day. It is yours for the asking. I call you to align your day to My timetable. There is no rush, no anxiety, no agitation. As the birds receive their daily meals from Me, so you receive your daily Bread and Breath of Life.

Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way.
The Lord be with all of you.
    2 Thessalonians 3:16 (NIV)

    I hear the Lord say:

Making homemade bread is a rewarding task. You start with basic ingredients, mixing, kneading, shaping, then baking. Your daily spiritual growth follows steps as well. I supply your Daily Bread with Scripture, prayer, meditation, songs and thanksgiving. You start each day fresh; watching Me unfold your day, mixing, kneading and shaping your character with various people and events. There is a reason I am the Bread of Life. Bread is the staple to nourish you and sustain you, as My Word nourishes and sustains your spiritual life. Only with Daily Bread will you grow under My care and guidance. My Scripture is living and powerful and is as essential to you as food and water. As you enjoy the reward of delicious tasting bread, remember to “taste and see that the Lord is good.” You are blessed with good things from My loving hands.

    I hear the Lord say:

Like the magnolia tree, currently blanketed with snow, evergreen throughout the year, so is My love for you ‘ever-present’ and ‘everlasting.’ Have no fear that you can lose My love. I have loved you since before you were born. You were in My mind and thoughts, with joy and expectancy, before you came into the world. My precious daughter, don’t ever forget that My love for you exceeds any human love. I love you as a doting father and proud brother. I see you with My eyes of love, mercy and compassion. I died for you and your salvation, I desire to grow closer and closer to you, abiding with your every breath and thought. Wondrous plans are laid out for you as you take hold of a future with Me. I have proved My love for you in the past and there will be more proof in the coming days and years. Wrap your arms about Me and let us walk together in gleeful anticipation of what is to come.
