Words & Whispers

I hear the Lord say:

As you used to polish your Mom’s silver, rubbing off the tarnish from the year’s worth of oxidation, rubbing and scrubbing til every speck and blemish was removed, so I rub and scrub to hone your reflection of Me. Realize that these trials serve to draw you closer to Me.  As you abide in and rely on Me, you become more trusting of My love and character. I already see you as a beautiful, righteous daughter. I see the finished product.

Your time on earth is your opportunity to reflect My love and goodness.  There are others who don’t know or experience My love.  Let them see how much I love and care for them.

In the same way that gold and silver are refined by fire,

the Lord purifies your heart by the tests and trials of life.

I hear the Lord say:

Like a little lizard basks in the sun, absorbing warmth and awakening its body, let My light of life beam upon you with peace and grace.  Let the warmth of My love quicken your spirit and bring joy.  Like a foal kicking up its heels, feel joy in being alive and united with Me. Sing songs of joy to awaken and enliven your spirit.  This will drive out the fear and cares of this world.  Worry is cast out when you focus on My presence.  The divine exchange is always available.  Keep it on your tool belt. Use it whenever you realize that worry or fear or doubts are creeping in.  The tool belt is part of your armor.  It holds Scripture, music, prayer, and an overflowing box of Unconditional Love!  Use it often!

Lord, even when your path takes me through the valley of deepest darkness, 

fear will never conquer me, for you already have! You remain close to me

and lead me through it all the way. Your authority is my strength and my peace.

The comfort of your love takes away my fear. I’ll never be lonely, for you are near.

I hear the Lord say:

Cast your cares on Me.  I can handle it.  I offer you peace and calm. I can restore your equilibrium. Your recent news has rocked you back like a mighty wind. I am here to help you stand upright, firm and steady against the storms of life. I will show you how I make all things come together for good.  The trials of life become your testimonies of My Goodness.  The trials of life are not related to how much I care for you.  My Love is eternal; My Kindness vast; My Goodness infinite.  My love for you is unshakable.  Seek Me with all your heart. I am worthy of praise just for who I am – not only because of what I have done for you. Because of My love for you, you receive blessings, healing and deliverance.  Stand firm and know that the God of the Universe is on your side.

Lord, how wonderful you are! You have stored up so many good things for us,

like a treasure chest heaped up and spilling over with blessings –

all for those who honor and worship you!

I hear the Lord say:

Events in life can stir you up, be confusing or anxiety-provoking. Be assured of my over-arching love for you.  Memorize Psalm 112:7 – have no fear of bad news…. Trust in Me. I care for you so deeply that I will keep you from harm. Like a baby trusts in her mother’s love, trust Me to care for you; I provide all you need for life. I provide all your need for love. I lavish My loving kindness on you. I equip you to walk in power and strength as a mighty warrior. Your strength comes from your unwavering trust in Me. We have a mission to accomplish. Let Me show you the way.

For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ!   Romans 5:17  NIV

I hear the Lord say:

I have conquered sin and death. I rebuked Satan’s temptation with Scripture. * The Living Word is a two edged sword, a powerful weapon, available at all times to rebuke any and all temptations, negative thoughts, oppression, and attacks.

Recall the Armor of God – you need to be employing methods of protection and actively engage My power and authority against evil and sickness.  Study Paul’s chapter on ‘armor’ and re-assert your commitment to stand and be strong in My Might. You don’t have to limp along but can run and attack with the sword of the Spirit!

As a doer of the Word, take all My promises to heart. Life will have ups and downs but know that I am your rock, your anchor, your strong tower, your fortress, your Savior and Friend.

For you have been a shelter and a refuge for me,

I hear the Lord say:

Let your light shine. Absorb my radiant light. Let it soak in, infusing every part of your being, bringing new life to your body, mind and spirit. As I abide in you and you in Me, we connect in heart and soul. My thoughts become your thoughts. Your old thoughts are replaced with My thoughts. Your perspective changes from narrow to wide. You see My all-encompassing plan and patterns.  You see the rhythm of grace. You see how I weave people and events together.  Each day brings new opportunities to love and learn. My covering over you is constant. Like an eagle protecting her chicks under her wings, so I cover you.

But let all who take refuge and put their trust in You rejoice,

Let them ever sing for joy;

Because you cover and shelter them,

Let those who love Your name be joyful and exult in You.

I hear the Lord say:

I love you with an everlasting love. I care for you and will take care of you. Be reminded of my righteous right hand which lifts you up out of the miry clay and sets your feet upon a rock. You are an overcomer. You are more than a conqueror. You have an omnipotent God at your side. What more could you want?

Take my yoke – it is light and easy – and walk with Me. We will take it one day at a time and enjoy today.
