    I hear the Lord say:

    Open your eyes to see and ears to hear. I speak to you daily through Scripture, nature, song and inspired thought. Recall My heavenly army is at your side. You can trust Me in all things – waking, sleeping, eating, working. I satisfy your inner longings – longings for contentment, peacefulness, joy and fulfillment.

    When you open your generous hand,

    it’s full of blessings,

    satisfying the longings of every living thing.

    I hear the Lord say:

    I want you to surrender – surrender your parenthood, surrender your health, surrender your job, surrender your strife, surrender your perfectionism, and surrender your misconceptions that you can control life.  Your mission is to empty yourself each morning and be filled with my Holy presence. With my Holy power, you will find new energy, new insight, more than enough time to accomplish things AND joy unspeakable in the midst of it!

    But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope:

    the steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;

    his mercies never come to an end;

    they are new every morning;

    great is your faithfulness.

    I hear the Lord say:

    You are my treasure. I created you uniquely and at the right time in history. You are not an accident. I knew you before you were born. I placed you on earth at the right time and for a specific purpose. I have delighted in watching you grow. As new parents exclaim in delight over their toddler taking her first step, so I delight in you.  When you fall down, I pick you up. I dust you off and steer you back on course.  When you got an ‘independent’ streak, I patiently waited for you. I welcomed you back with open arms. Nothing can separate our love. Nothing can separate our love.

    For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers,
    nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor heights nor depth,
    nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the
    love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

    I hear the Lord say:

    It is good and right to confess your sin and humble yourself before Me.  It is important to acknowledge your sin and confess it in order to re-align yourself with My truth and My goodness. Don’t berate yourself repeatedly.  That is like the flogging the penitent did in medieval times. It’s unnecessary to whip yourself to receive mercy or demonstrate your sorrow. Confess, repent, receive forgiveness and be done with it.  I wait for you with open arms.

    If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins

    and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

    I hear the Lord say:

    A believer growing in faith and trust is like a house undergoing renovation in the construction process. Renewing of your mind is a restoration and is a work in progress. Spiritual revelation and renovation is ongoing. You can experience joy in the renovation process, even with sawdust at your feet. Honing and smoothing, buffing and sanding; all these processes work to enhance your reflection of Me. Dance in the sawdust! Have a hoedown!

    Keep trusting… keep dancing… keep looking up!

    Singers and dancers alike say,

    “For me, you are the source of everything.”

    I hear the Lord say:

    Yes, there is deeper meaning to all My words. This is why studying and meditating on Scripture is so critical. A superficial look at the Bible is like a believer paddle boarding on a lake. I invite you to jump in the water and become fully immersed in My Word, in My love, in My grace and in a complete and total abandonment to Joy.  This joy is the fruit that will spark joy in others.

    I will show  my love to those who passionately love me.
    For they will search and search continually until they find me.

    I hear the Lord say:

    My heart is so big for My children! My love cannot be measured – it has no bounds! My compassion is expressed in My abundant mercy and grace. Since I am Love, I want you to be Love as well. Share  My goodness with a smile, a hug, a word, a deed, a sacrifice, a song of praise!  Offer hope, extend comfort, pray for healing, intercede in My Throne Room. Praise and thanksgiving belong to Me, the lover of your soul!

    Sing praises to God, sing praises!
    Sing praises to our King, sing praises!
    For God is the King of all the earth;
    sing praises with a psalm!
    God reigns over the nations;
    God sits on his holy throne.
    Psalm 47:7-8  ESV
