    I hear the Lord say:

Each day can be overwhelming – but it is another day, just like days past and days to come. Each day, you make a choice. And each choice wears a groove in your mind, a running thought, “Can I get it all done? There’s not enough time.”

I offer you a new thought: “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.”  Bring to mind the Scripture: “May the peace of Christ rule in your heart.” Let these thoughts take precedence. Let their promises be your priority. Then rest will enter your mind and peace will enter your spirit.

Choose: Joy, not strife, Peace, not panting, Rest, not rushing, Calm, not catastrophizing.

And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding,

will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

    I hear the Lord say:

Regarding “strength:” “Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.” Your strength will come from reliance on Me. Life can pull you down; life can make you weak. Human minds, on their own, cannot sustain trust and strength against adversity. Only when calling upon the Lord can you receive strength.  My words speak life and truth.

He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength.

    I hear the Lord say:

You woke up to a rainy day. You are grateful for the rain that waters the earth. It brings to life the grass, the trees, the flowers. It brings life to ponds and streams. I too shower you with life. I rain on you blessings of peace, joy and patience. As the psalmist in Psalm 91 declared, “with long life will I satisfy you, you will enjoy the fullness of My salvation.”  This fullness, this satisfaction, is a promise for all of your days. You must reach for it and gladly obtain it. It only comes to those who seek it. And the abundant life that I promise is for the taking. As you accept My gift, I beam with delight. I love giving gifts to My children!

The sun is coming out, you say. But actually, it is the clouds that are moving away. The sun was always there, beaming brightly, steady and constant.  The clouds were temporary. They brought the rain and refreshing, now the sun brings its warmth and nourishment. Seeds need both.  You need both. Bask in the seasons I give you. Grow in the season I give you. We abide together.

“You will be satisfied with a full life and with all that I do for you.
For you will enjoy the fullness of my salvation!”

    I hear the Lord say:

Keep in step, walk beside Me. My Holy Spirit knows the way. Your path is paved with possibilities. Things you thought unlikely or impossible. Things you thought as far reaching or “un-do-able”.  Since all things are possible to those who believe, why not believe? Look for surprises. Expect goodness. Accept kindness. Share joy. Your path will mingle and interact with others. I put them there. Some will be there to bless and encourage. Some will be there to enlighten and strengthen. Some will challenge and refine your character. It’s all good.

Let Me illuminate the path one step at a time. The best walk and trail is the one with curves, dips and bends. You don’t know what is ahead, but you expect something marvelous! Like enjoying nature along wooded paths, discover little treasures. Appreciate the gifts of joy, gladness and delight.  I delight in you as you delight in Me.

    He brought me out into a spacious place;
he rescued me because he delighted in me.

    I hear the Lord say:

You have pondered what it means to ‘go deeper’ in your spiritual walk. You are a goal setter and look to accomplishments. I have a different suggestion for you. Learn to rest in Me. Turn off the distractions, avoid a Christian ‘to do’ list, and dive deeper into My Word and My worship. Study My character, experience the rest and peace that comes with My love. The abiding life is the abundant life. Abundance has nothing to do with possessions on earth. You recall I said that moth and rust destroy these items.  Abundant living is peaceful living – living in the knowledge that trust in Me is all you need. That simple act of faith – trust – will carry you through highs and lows and will allow peace and calm to rule and reign in your heart. Let ‘abiding’ remain your goal. As you abide, you seek new revelation and insight. You seek it and will receive it. Abiding causes your heart and mind to ‘sync’ with My heart strings to a perfect pitch and heavenly melody. It will be a song of songs, a heart bursting with the goodness of My love. Like a harp’s soothing, stirring gentle melody, it reaches the deepest part of your soul; a stirring so deep, it forges a bond that cannot be broken.

“Hear, O kings; give ear, O princes; to the Lord I will sing; I will make melody to the Lord, the God of Israel.

    Judges 5:3  ESV

    I hear the Lord say:

I fill your heart and mind with peace. I assure you of a good end. I hear  your prayers. They are rising and filling My bowl of supplication. Soon the bowl will tip over and My glory will pour forth. You will see prayers answered, miracles occur, healing to mind and body, chains removed, evil spirits cast down and freedom declared! Victory is Mine, says the Lord. All that I promise is coming to pass.

When he took the scroll, the four living beings and the twenty-four elders fell down in front of the Lamb. Each one held a harp, and gold bowls filled with pieces of incense, which are the prayers of God’s people; and they sang a new song,

“You are worthy….”   Revelation 5:8-9  CJV

    I hear the Lord say:

I am the Master of Time. I am not subject to the limitations or confines of time. I don’t weary or need rest. I have no deadlines or due dates. I don’t waste time or fritter it away. I don’t spend time worrying or waiting. In My sovereignty, I rule the heavens and the earth. I created time for you. For my children, I created sunrise and sunset. I created seasons, to enjoy seed time and harvest, to work and to rest, to labor and to sleep, to learn and to grow. I created time for your benefit. It’s not meant to be a stressor. Time allows opportunities. Time to commune with Me, time to share My love of people and of nature, time to reflect, to study, to pray, to work. All these things can be done with Me at your side.

Begin your day with statements of affirmation and a positive outlook on the day you’ve been given. You will discover new joy as you think this way.

For everything there is  a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.
