    • Goodness of God

      I hear the Lord say:

      I see you are thinking about the word ‘good’ and all of its meanings. This word has lost its ‘edge’ and has become a word to define ‘okay’ or ‘fair’. The word ‘excellent’ or ‘better/best’ has replaced it as superior and of higher desire. I want you to ponder the word ‘good’ from the biblical perspective, from its original use. Look into the book of Genesis, as it records the creation of the world. As I formed the heavens and the earth, the sky and sea, plants, sun, moon and stars, then animals, I declared all of them as ‘good.’ Creating man and woman in My image, you see in Genesis 1:31, I declared it ‘very good.” My creation is magnificent, don’t you agree? My ‘good’ is the best there is and the best there ever will be. My creation of you is ‘good’; you are my daughter; you are the best image of Me. You have special gifts and talents meant to be shared with others. Your presence on earth has a unique purpose. My goodness is reflected in your life of obedience and joy. You have all of My goodness at your disposal. Recall David’s words “Taste and see that the Lord is good.” I encourage you to dive into each day, relishing the goodness I bring you.

      being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6 NIV

    • Sunset

      I hear the Lord say:

      Time is a fleeting thing. At the end of the day, you relax from the busy-ness of life and reflect on the day’s events. Each morning has a promise. Each evening has a contemplation. The lovely sunset is a reminder of the gift of time. You spent the day enjoying the beauty of My creation, the sun, the wind, the surf, the sand. Watching pelicans soar and sanderlings dart along the sand, looking for their next meal, brings you delight. The sound of the sea and the wind on your face, the receding sunlight, waves lapping at your feet, the ebb and flow of the tide, brings you serenity and peace. Grateful for beauty around you, fashioned by My holy hands, your heart swells with the privilege of communing with the natural world. Such joy is what I bring you each day. Keep looking, keep admiring, keep seeking time to commune with Me through nature, through song, through praise, through Scripture, through journaling. Time with Me is time well spent.

      Sing to the LORD, bless His name; Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day.

    • Thunder

      I hear the Lord say:

      You stand at the base of the Falls and stare in wonder and awe at the force of the water thundering over the precipice. The wet spray tickles your face and your heart soars in the exhilaration of such a magnificent sight! The sound of the rushing water mesmerizes you. The thrill of the sight and sound of the waterfalls fills you with admiration for the power and magnificence of My creation. This is just one of the beauties of earth and sea. You see the refreshing water at your feet; the pool of water beckons you. Yes, why not?… take a dip. The water is cold and tickles your feet. You wade in and feel the brisk temperature awaken your body. You dive in head first, immersing yourself in the bubbling pool, feeling cleansed and renewed. It’s a new baptism, a symbol of My abiding presence, new every morning. This serene pool at the base of the thundering falls is your place of peace. The roar of My love comes cascading over the mountain, plunging to the earth below, feeding rivers and streams with My love and grace. The waters tumbling from mountains are pale in comparison to the depth and strength of My love from My heavenly throne. Think on this as you walk through each day. A reminder of these waterfalls will put you in the right frame of mind when trying circumstances try to distract you. Love conquers all.

      Deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls;

    • Hope in Me

      I hear the Lord say:

      When you are discouraged, hear Me whisper “Hope in Me.” When you are tired and downcast, hear Me call “Hope in Me.” When you are confused and hurt, hear Me beckon “Hope in Me.” When disappointment overwhelms you, choose to “hope in Me.” My love is steadfast and true, never wavering, never ebbing, always strong and always reliable. I proved this love for you by My Son’s sacrifice and resurrection. We love you so much that We made the ultimate sacrifice. Now you are one of My daughters. You are learning more and more about My character as you read Scripture and meditate on My Holy Word. My words are meant to guide you, ground you and gift you. Put on your armor, resist the darts of the enemy, and stand tall in the face of adversity – because I am Your shield and strength.

      “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9 NIV

    • It’s a New Day

      I hear the Lord say,

      “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.” I bring you a new dawn, a fresh day, wrapped as a present, just for you. A special gift for you alone. It is a gift poured out of My deep, everlasting, and abiding love for you. This day is your day to be filled with My love to overflowing: to be so filled, that you spill over with joy, peace and deep contentment. A new day to have fresh eyes and ears for My Words, My Ways and My Will. I bless you as a beloved daughter. Your blessings are so rich that you can share them with others. I will continue to pour out My peace, love, compassion and forgiveness to bring you deeper into trust with Me and in Me. A light of revelation will fill your heart. You see that My mercies are new every morning and that every day is a walk in victory with Me. You have the mind of Christ and you operate in a spirit of truth, love and compassion. You overcome obstacles and challenges because you walk with Me in integrity and reverence. Arise, shine! The day awaits you!

    • Splendor and Majesty

      I hear the Lord say:

      Splendor and majesty are words you think of when you see thundering waterfalls; amazed at the power and strength of the river plunging over the rocks. It overwhelms the senses: the sight, the sound, the spray on your face. It’s exhilarating, it’s powerful, it’s fabulous. You stand in awe at this natural wonder. This is just one example of the beauty that I bestow on my beloved. You see, my divine creative touch is in all of nature: the mountains, the forests, the rivers, the oceans, the flowers, the meadows, and all the animals that inhabit them. The heavenly blue sky and starry nights attest to My own splendor and majesty. I, the Lord, am your master and creator. And, you, yes, you, are more precious to me than anything else. Within the beauty of the world is the beauty I created in you. My splendor and majesty are also reflected in you. Take My hand, my child, and look in the mirror of My loving kindness. What you see is a beloved daughter. I have endowed you with gifts to share with others; gifts which will showcase My majesty and splendor, My mercy and justice, My kindness and compassion, My power and strength. Abide in Me as I abide in you. See yourself as I see you. Put on the belt of truth and wear your royal identity as a child of the King.

       Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own . Now we call him, “Abba, Father.” For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children. And since we are his children, we are his heirs. In fact, together with Christ we are heirs of God’s glory.   Romans 8:15-17 NLT

    • The Ultimate Hope

      I hear the Lord say:

      Hope in Me all the day long. When you awake in the morning, I greet you with joy and purpose. It’s a new day and filled with hope and promise. Look for Me in the little things. See My hand in creation, in daily blessings, during work and rest time; I am your constant companion. At night, when you gaze at the stars and wonder at the glimpse of the marvelous universe, remember that you are more special to Me than any star. You are my beloved daughter! Things of the earth offer no permanent hope or blessings. Only I, the Sovereign Lord, who is All-in-All, can provide you with hope eternal. Hope for today; Hope for tomorrow; Hope for life everlasting.

      Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the LORD.
      Psalm 31:24 NIV
