Hello! Welcome to my blog! I have recorded past journal entries from devotional journaling as well as nature and travel photos. It is my aim to pass on the encouragement of the Lord to other sisters in Christ.
Remember… When you think about the past, when you ponder the future, remember Me. Reminisce about the remarkable journey you have traveled with Me. Recall how I was present, showing grace, love and mercy, in good times and bad. Pinpoint events that shaped the increase of Our relationship. Give thanks for revelation, inspiration, intervention, connection, and divine appointments. See My hand of favor over your life. It has been a remarkable journey and one that continues today and tomorrow. Lift up your eyes in praise and wonder! There is so much to be thankful for!
In everything give thanks, for this is what God wants from you
I am your teacher and friend. For My teaching to be effective, you must have a teachable spirit: eyes open, ears open and mind open. Be open to new revelation, new perspective, new ways of thinking. Since you know “My thoughts are higher than your thoughts”, you must cast off old ways of thinking and negative mind sets. Since “My ways are higher than your ways”, you must trust Me in all situations. When you see each day with fresh eyes, new insights will come. When you approach each day with expectancy for fresh revelation, it will come.
Time… it can be elusive, fleeting, dragging, hurried or wasted. Consider your ‘to do’ list. Does it have ‘time’ carved out for Me? Does it include ‘time’ to look at flowers, call a friend, ponder Scripture, show gratitude? Time can run away when the day is filled with necessary household tasks, work or childcare. But seeking a ‘time out’ with Me is always a good idea. It will serve to re-frame your priorities, re-align your perspective, and re-ignite your passion for Christ. Mindful meditation is critical each day in order to abide with Me. I will meet you where you are each day. Time with Me is well-spent.
Therefore, let us confidently approach the throne from which God gives grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace in our time of need. Hebrews 4:16 CJB
“Power, strength, might”… these are words that are attributed to superheroes and not ordinary humans. But you will recall that the apostle Paul shared that “my strength is made perfect in weakness.” It is when you admit that you don’t have the (human) strength to endure or move forward that I can help. Humankind falls into pride when they say “I can do it on my own”, “I don’t need anybody”, “Pull yourself up by your bootstraps”, “Find your inner strength” or “Just do it.” These slogans or statements may work in the short term, but everyone has their limits. Many times, it takes a major crisis for people to call out for help. I have Good News! I am here; I have the ability to give you the strength you need in this crisis. I am waiting for you to call upon Me; then I will answer you, strengthen you and raise you up. Don’t wait to call on Me. Cry out every day for the supernatural strength to overcome, to rise up, to claim victory over your circumstance. Surrendering to Me leads to partnering with Me. Partnering with Me is abiding with Me. Abiding with Me is sharing in the inheritance of the Kingdom with Me.
but he told me, “My grace is enough for you, for my power is brought to perfection in weakness.” Therefore, I am very happy to boast about my weaknesses, in order that the Messiah’s power will rest upon me. 2 Corinthians 12:9 CJB
He gives strength to the weary, And to him who has no might He increases power.
Light and Life. I bring both to you each and every day. As the sun rises, and the light increases to noon day, remember that My Light and Life shine in and through you. As the sun brings nourishment to plants and warmth to the earth, so My Light and Life feeds your spirit and soul. Growth will continue as you abide in the vine with Me, attached for life to the Source of Life. Growth will continue despite storms and trials; growth will continue with seasons and pruning, growth will continue as you diligently seek My face.
Be encouraged. My Light and Life are yours in abundance, to overflowing, with a never-ending supply!
There it was—the true Light [the genuine, perfect, steadfast Light] which, coming into the world, enlightens everyone.
Reflections on “The Lord’s Prayer”, Matthew 6:9, “Our Father…”
Father of ‘us’. One Father of one family, the whole of humanity.
A loving, caring, nurturing Father who provides all our needs.
A Father who is trustworthy, true, proud of His children; joyful, enjoying time with His kids, playing and laughing.
A dependable Father – one who guides, protects and defends.
I hear the LORD say:
I am a father to the fatherless. I am the father who loves you unconditionally. I am the father who is steady, trustworthy and reliable. I am the father who listens to you. I am the father who has compassion and mercy on you. I am the father who seeks the lost until they are safe in my arms. I am the father who loves you with an everlasting love.
Be willing to ‘stretch’, to dig deeper, to ponder with intent, to meditate on life, on Scripture, on truth. Falsehoods, lies, and deceptions will fall off your mind as you absorb the truth of My words. The enemy wishes to distract you with current events, but the truth is that “I am the same, yesterday, today and forever.” My sovereignty, My power, My justice, My grace, My love, My faithfulness… all remain and can never be shaken. Choose where to fix your gaze. Choosing Me brings life and hope. Choose to look at life with a heavenly, eternal perspective. Choose the way of love.
I call on heaven and earth to witness against you today that I have presented you with life and death, the blessing and the curse. Therefore, choose life, so that you will live, you and your descendants, loving Adonai your God, paying attention to what he says and clinging to him – for that is the purpose of your life!
Deuteronomy 30:19-20 CJB
Jesus, the Anointed One, is always the same – yesterday, today and forever.
