Words & Whispers

I hear the Lord say:

In the quiet of the morning, in the quiet of the night, slow your mind from the day’s work list and seek quiet time with Me. Let me be an encouragement to you, an inspiration to you, a comfort to you, as we spend time together. Recall your blessings, remember how you overcame trials with Me by your side, relish the fact that we abide as one. Nothing and no one can separate our bond, our love, our friendship, or your devotion to Me. Keep pressing on, to run the race with gusto, because I am your strength. Today and tomorrow are safely in My hands and so are you.

Then God's shalom, passing all understanding, 
will keep your hearts and minds safe in union 
with the Messiah Yeshua.

I hear the Lord say:

You are united with Me. As two knitting needles work together to interlace yarn, you and I are knitted together. I am the designer and have the pattern laid out for you. I offer My strength, courage, resiliency and comfort to maintain your walk with Me. You may not be able to see the pattern of the finished product now but I see the end from the beginning. You and I are one; I abide in you and you abide in Me. I am the designer, and together we will create a beautiful sweater.

I hear the Lord say:

Being renewed, being transformed is not an end to itself. It is a process where we grow to know each other better. Although I know all about you, you do not know all about Me. Even though there will always be more to know about Me, it’s the journey of our relationship that is so exciting. When you discover a new truth or attribute about Me, or when you learn about the meaning of a Scripture passage, it delights My heart. Reading Scripture with fresh eyes gives you fresh revelation. Come to meet with Me with expectancy. There is always a new nugget of truth, a gem of understanding, a treasure of heavenly provisions to meet your needs, to expand your mind and cement our bond even more. I look forward to our times together!

I hear the Lord say:

When events around you appear out of control, remember that I am in charge. When distress or worry knock at your door, make them stay outside. You can acknowledge the worry is there, and choose your response. You can dwell on the worry and let it run rampant in your mind or you can choose to banish worrisome thoughts with a flick of the wrist. You have My holy Word to stand on, to lean on and to rely on. I have promised to keep you and shelter you. I am the God of all comfort, the God of all power, the God of all majesty. I am the same yesterday, today and forever. I see the beginning from the end. My plans and purposes will stand. Your future is secure with Me.

I hear the Lord say:

My glory fills the temple.  My glory fills the earth. My glory fills the heavens. My glory fills the universe. My glory is reflected in all of creation. The glory of the heavens and earth are a glimpse of the beauty and wonder that are gifts to My beloved children. As you marvel at the beauty of a flower, the patterns on a butterfly’s wings, and the towering strength of mountains, be assured that all of this was created for you to enjoy and explore. It is meant to draw you closer to Me as you marvel and wonder. It serves to show the depth of My love for you. Look what I have accomplished and be ready for Me to accomplish more through you. I have a purpose and a plan for you; one that is uniquely tailored to you and you alone. You are my precious child and I love you. I love you with an everlasting love.  Nothing can separate this bond of love. Be assured that all is well and all will be well.

I hear the Lord say:

Rest. It’s not just about taking a nap, putting your feet up or sleeping at night.  Rest is a state of being. True rest is rest in Me. To rest in Me is to lay down your burdens and cares and to trust Me to carry them.  I do not ignore your worries or discard your cares. What matters to you matters to Me. But I don’t want you to fret or be anxious about the situations that distress you. Allow Me to carry the burden and therefore relieve you of it. When you place it in My capable Hands, you can be assured that I will handle it.  You can trust Me for the outcome. As you repeat this process daily, you will see how wonderful it feels to turn over the burden to Me.  As you grow in trusting Me, you are free to experience the goodness, peace and joy that comes with it.

“Come to Me, all of you who are struggling and burdened,

and I will give you rest.”

A poem of praise to my King:

LORD, you are most holy and glorious!  I lift my hands in worship around your throne. You are high and lifted up!  You rule and reign with majesty and splendor!

I honor you, O Most High God, because You and You alone are worthy. You created all things, heavens, water and earth, which continually display Your glory. You created humankind to share in Your rule and reign. LORD, I need Your heavenly wisdom and divine guidance to be worthy to share in this honor. Create in Me a new heart which sees the world, your people, with Your loving eyes. Bring me to a place of abiding that transcends human understanding.

Your ways are higher than my ways, your thoughts higher than my thoughts. You see clearly, I see dimly.  Let Your radiant love shine so brightly that it permeates every cell of my being. Let me be a reflection of You.
