I hear the Lord say:
I walk with you in the meadow, whispering My love for you in the stillness of the crisp morning air. The crunch of gravel under your boots, the tweets and calls of songbirds, the clear blue sky over a golden field; these alert your senses, increasing your awareness of life and breath. Enjoying the time to slow down and meander. Standing motionless to spy a sparrow in the grass, searching for its morning seeds. Time to take in the beauty of the season. You recall the verse, “The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.” (Isaiah 40:8). You understand that your time on earth is fleeting and are inspired to dedicate each day to the Lord for His glory. This is My heart-cry for My children: to see that they are deeply loved and cared for and to return that love to Me. Devote yourself to Me, as I am devoted to you.
1 Thessalonians 4:1 (NIV)
As for other matters, brothers and sisters, we instructed you how to live in order to please God, as in fact you are living. Now we ask you and urge you in the Lord Jesus to do this more and more.
