Words & Whispers

Words from the Lord during prayer and devotional journaling

    I hear the Lord say:

Fatigue comes in many forms. After working hard in the garden, you are physically worn out. After a day at work, your brain is tired of thinking. When life brings pressure of deadlines, stress levels rise. When things go wrong, frustration sets in. When bills pile up, worry nags at you. When prayers seem to go unanswered, weariness sets in. Recognize that your current emotional state is off-kilter and make a concerted effort to meditate on the truth. The truth is I am here to guide and comfort. The truth is that Jesus abides in you and you in Him. The truth is I see and hear and know what is going on. I understand your frustrations, your setbacks, your longings, your desires for peace, belonging and joy. These desires are in line with My desires for you. You can experience peace, belonging and joy with Me. You won’t find these in the world. If you do, they are fleeting and empty. They don’t last and soon you are discouraged again. Look up, the sun is shining; it is a new day. It is a day to open your heart once again and breathe in the light of life. There is a time for sorrow and a time for joy. I am here for both. Let your heart and mind focus on My goodness. You will rejoice and be glad!

“…yet I will rejoice in the Lord; I will take joy in the God of my salvation.” Habakkuk 3:18 ESV

    I hear the Lord say:

I know your heart. I hear your pain. I understand your sorrow. I know you inside and out. Come to Me and unburden yourself. Tell Me all about it. Yes, I already know, but it is good for you to share your pain and grief so you can get release and relief. After you journal about it, letting all the feelings out, then take time to meditate on healing. There is no rush but don’t wait too long. Once sorrow and anger are released, you can accept the Divine Exchange, and be filled with My holy peace. It’s a process that you may need to repeat. That’s okay. I am here for you. We can do this over and over until you get to a place where the pain is gone and you only feel My peace. I care for you and want you to stick close to Me. This valley will not last forever. This trial will be overcome. Speak My words of truth over this situation. Be confident that together we will overcome. A new day dawns, a new sun rises. This is Our day to walk in confidence and joy.

    Hear my cry, God;

listen to my prayer. From the end of the earth,

with fainting heart, I call out to you.

    Psalm 61:2 CJB

    I hear the Lord say:

Let today be today. Let your mind focus on today. Guard your thoughts so that you can enjoy today. Start your day with moments of appreciation. Enjoy the birdsong out your window. Marvel at the beauty of the sunrise. Prepare your mind for a day of joy and peace. Ponder My words of wisdom, reassurance and joy so that today can be a good day. A day where joy permeates your being. A day where you put aside future worries and past regrets. A day where hope is steady. Look for Me in your daily routine. I am by your side. Holy Spirit will lead and guide. Allow your heart to beat as one with Me. We are bound in love. You are My beloved and I made today for you! I am with you through thick and thin. I am with you in waves and calm seas. I am with you in storm and strife. I am with you, arming you with courage and strength. I am with you. I am for you. I am your coach, your friend, your Savior, your comforter, your rescuer. I am your peace, your joy, your steadfast companion, your Almighty God. Enjoy this day because I made it just for you.

Acknowledge and take to heart this day that the Lord is God in heaven above and on the earth below. There is no other. Deuteronomy 4:39

    I hear the Lord say:

Jesus, the Good Shepherd, the Passover Lamb, the King of Kings, the Prince of Peace. Fully human and fully divine. My beloved Son came to earth to seek and save the lost, to bind the wounds of the broken and the broken-hearted, to heal physically, spiritually and emotionally, to share the love of the Father with His children. “No greater love exists than a man lay his life down for another.” This is the degree in which I love you. This is the depth of My love for you. I would go to these lengths if you were the only person on the planet. I love you that much! Study the words of Jesus. Learn about His character, His love, His motivation, His sacrifice, His triumphant resurrection, His call to share the good news. Easter is a celebration of your Savior’s victory over sin and death. Resurrection Sunday is to be celebrated daily, as you walk in hope and joy, embracing My eternal love.

Praised be God, Father of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, who, in keeping with his great mercy, has caused us, through the resurrection of Yeshua the Messiah from the dead, to be born again to a living hope… I Peter 1:3 CJB

    I hear the Lord say:

Light means life. I am the Light of the world, I am the Light of Life. Light brings vision and clarity to life. My light brings truth and clarity to you and your daily walk. As sunlight nurtures new growth, coaxing seeds from the ground and nourishing plants, so My light and life nourish and nurture you. Growth is expected with life and light; your growth is not of your own striving but a response to our union and common purpose. As you align your thoughts and perspectives to My kingdom perspectives, you will see growth daily, weekly, monthly and yearly. You may experience hiccups along the way. Do not be dissuaded by them. When toddlers stumble and fall, their parents do not chastise them, but rush to their aid, lifting them up and encouraging them to try again. I love you this much and more. Your time with me is time in the sunshine; basking, growing, living, loving.

For you used to be darkness; but now, united with the Lord, you are light. Live like children of light, for the fruit of the light is in every kind of goodness, rightness and truth… Ephesians 5:8-9 CJB

    I hear the Lord say:

I have a storehouse of goodness and sweetness available to you day and night. My blessings flow from heaven every day. If you don’t look for them, you might miss some. Some are big and some are small. Some are loud and some are quiet. The key is to know that they are here and more are coming. Look for them each day. It may be a new flower bloom, a phone call from a friend, a card in the mail, a timely Scripture verse, a word, a whisper, a bird song, a good night’s sleep, an answer to a prayer, a miracle. I abide in you and you in Me. Spend time with Me, walk with Me, talk with Me, ask Me questions, wait for the reply. Let yourself relax in My presence. There is no rush; there is no agenda. Time spent with Me is time well-spent. Your day-to-day life takes on more meaning, more substance, more contentment. Abundance is what I have for you.

But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33 NIV

    I hear the Lord say:

Come… come into this sacred space with Me. Enter My presence and linger here with Me. Let the words and whispers of My Heart speak comfort, healing and peace to your soul. Let My words be a balm that wrap and heal your wounded heart. Allow My sacred peace to minister to your heart, mind and soul. As you breathe deeply in and slowly out, let the cares of life, the worries of your mind and the weight of the world be lifted completely and wholly. You are released from the burden and bondage of anxiety and fear. The chains are gone; you have been set free. In the light of a new day, walk unencumbered by the past and step forward with new determination that victory is assured and that My Goodness will triumph. Time in this sacred space is your daily ‘bath’ of cleansing and renewal. I abide in you and you in Me. Let the sacred invade the secular; My abiding presence is ever near.

…casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully].

    I Peter 5:7 AMP
