I hear the Lord say:

As a dilapidated house is bought and lovingly restore to reflect its original grandeur, so I work in you. I am creating you into a masterpiece to reflect My goodness.  You will experience sanding, buffing and polishing. Rotten wood is replaced with fresh boards – strong and durable. New wiring is installed to allow uninterrupted current to flow; My Holy Spirit is connected to your inner being. The foundation is repaired and strengthened as you read, study and apply My Holy Word.  My promises are the studs in your house – supporting the walls and the roof.  Each pillar represents My names:  Jehovah Nissi, Jehovah Jirah, Jehovah Rapha… and they cannot be shaken. The plumbing system brings fresh water into your house. My Living Water refreshes your body and spirit with the washing of the Word and the cleansing of your soul and spirit. Renovations take time – there are hiccups, delays, and sometimes new problems are uncovered during the process. All these things happen in the course of renewal. Old thoughts and habits are replaced by new thoughts and habits.  The contractor is always looking to see how to improve. As I see your potential, I don’t condemn your flaws or faults. I enjoy living in the renovation process. The dust and sawdust are signs of active progress in the work being done in you.  Embrace the change – seek more renovation – let me guide the process.  A perfect house awaits you!

Unless the Lord builds the house,
    the builders labor in vain.
